Last day of high school

It was finally the last day of school, we had all been waiting for this day since our freshman year. it wasnt that we did not like the school we just couldnt wait to start a new chapter in our life. it was were we all sat on the floor or at the tables signing shirts and remembering all the fun things we had done during the four years together. as we started to reminisce on these times we all began to realize how much we rushed our time together to get to this point and now that we were at this point we wished we could go back. finally it was time to start going to class even though there was nothing left for us to be taught except to say our final goodbyes to our teachers that over the four years of high school watched us mature into the people we were. some of us did not want to go to class so they stayed in the senior locker room, some just stayed so that the juniors that were becoming seniors would not be allowed to take over our territory yet. finally just decided to go to our last classes of the days so we all headed to our classes in our separate ways as we did this we knew it would be the last time we would all walk on the "path" together and we all talked in a certain sadness knowing this. my last class there the teacher brought us to the cafeteria she knew that since we were seniors we did not spend a lot of our time there during this school year. so we went there for our "last meal" that we would have as a notre dame family. as we were done eating and talking to the younger students our teacher came over to us and told us we could leave whenever we wanted to class was over. even though we were done with class we all didnt want to leave, which was ironic because we would usually be running to the door when a teacher would tell us class was over. we took our time leaving this time and made sure we could use up all the time we had left since we rushed the four years so much.
